The moment many have been waiting for… (hey wow, the subscriptions to this blog have tripled from last year…) … help with Cross Examination!

Jordan Lorence, seasoned attorney at the Alliance Defense Fund (who gets my friends at PHC in “backstage” at the Supreme Court and got seats for D.C. vs. Heller) lectured in club the other day. Oh, did I mention his daughter Jenna Lorence won 2nd place at NCFCA nationals in 2006? Well she did. Mr. Lorence has been wanting to talk about CX for a long time and finally got a chance and man was it helpful!

Technical issues caused the video to be broken into 3 segments, but you’ll see his lecture ends halfway through segment 2 and then practice begins. On two of Vector’s 1ACs you’ll see extended CX with interruptions from Mr. Lorence to demonstrate how to do it “right.” I would mention that there is room for plenty of disagreement to how CX is done, but you should for sure at least be heavily influenced by this style.
