Hello all, Marc here.
I’d first like to apologize for Ethos stagnating this autumn. This is entirely my fault and I know it’s not what you’ve come to expect from Ethos as an organization. I will explain more below about what’s going on with me, but I’d like to first highlight what you should expect going forward.
- There are sourcebooks I am working to finalize as soon as possible. I will be releasing them as soon as I am finished. Midseason sourcebooks will be released a bit later than usual.
- If you’ve signed up for Ethos Legends, I will get that started as soon as I can. I will reach out to everyone who has paid for the full season to either offer additional benefits to make up for the missing months, a partial refund, or a full refund and cancellation,
- If you’ve signed up for coaching and that hasn’t happened yet, I will work on getting that started as soon as I can.
- Generally, if you’ve sent an email that has gone unanswered, I will get to it, though I do have a good number of emails to get through, so I ask for just a little bit more patience.
- Don’t let this keep you from sending any questions you have. Just understand it may take a while to get an answer.
Again, I apologize for the lack of information. What happened? In short, on top of my day to day schedule changing not-insignificantly (I’m a parent now), I had a minor mental health collapse. I’ve struggled with my mental health essentially my entire adult life, so while I’m better able to identify when a time like this is approaching, I still don’t know how to entirely avoid it. Something’s wrong with my mind, and I’m doing my best to figure out what that is and how to fix it. In the past few months I’ve spoken to no fewer than 15 different medical professionals, and I have some promising leads now to better understand and repair myself. That said, it’s a frustratingly long and arduous process, and I’m working to steady my course as best I can.
On top of that, for the last month or so I’ve been afflicted with a series of annoying sicknesses–a cold or two, then the flu, then a sort of lingering cough and fatigue that hasn’t yet faded. Just when I needed it least! Oh well. I appreciate all of your patience as I’ve neglected my responsibilities, and I will greatly appreciate any prayers as I try to fight my way through this.
All the best,
Marc Davis – Owner, Ethos Debate.
