Join Marc Davis for Extemp Roundtable and keep up with what’s going on in the world.
One downside of digital extemp is the lack of “filing days” when clubmates got together to discuss the news while filing articles. Extemp Roundtable will recreate that valuable discussion time. Each week everyone will be responsible for a short (2-3 min) summary of a news topic, followed by a brief discussion. I will help keep the discussion going and take notes. This is about information density and actively keeping up with the news.
This class will cover news events all around the globe. The NCFCA-focused roundtable class will begin later in the semester and only cover domestic and US Foreign policy topics, to meet the particularities of NCFCA Extemp. You can register for that one here.
$160 per student. 20-45 minute online meetings Wednesdays at 12:00pm ET beginning 9/6.
A minimum of 6 registrants are required for this class to move forward, so tell your friends!
