How We Decide Who Wins: Law and Society

$100.00

Registration Closed

Learn about the law from attorney Anthony Severin. A five part class, it is a whirlwind tour of our American legal system. We will dash through the essence of how people make agreements (contracts), explore the basics of what it means to own something (property), and practice thinking deeply about hard societal questions (criminal and constitutional law). If you want to see what it might be like to think like a lawyer for a few days, this will be worth your time and effort. If you just want to think through some cool stories about how our society resolves tough conflicts, this too is the class for you.

A minimum of 6 registrants are required for this class to move forward, so tell your friends! Registration deadline: August 24th. More details below.

Description

Attorney Anthony Severin wants to teach you about the law.

Games are more fun when you understand the rules. You are soon to become adults—full members of society. This is a class designed to help you understand the law—the rules of the game you are about to live out for the next 70 years or so. Filled with stories about improbable events, treasure-laden ships, and fighter jets, you will build your mental models about how our beautiful and terrible society works and how you can be successful in it.
